Joan Cortés Vilardell

Mr. Mr. Cortés holds a degree in Business Administration and Management, a degree from IESE’s General Management Program (PDG) and is a Certified Public Accountant (ROAC).

He has been an external auditor in multinationals, specializing in the Transactions M&A department, before becoming Financial Controller at NH Hotels and later Director of Administration at Stage Entertainment Spain, one of the main European groups dedicated to live entertainment.

In 2013, he joined Grupo Emperador (GES), the Spanish investment conglomerate of Mr. Andrew Lim Tan, as Chief Financial and Operations Officer. Mr. Mr. Cortés holds senior management positions in several Spanish companies controlled by Mr. Andrew Lim Tan. Since 2020 he has been CEO of Grupo Emperador Spain, as well as Director of Pedro Domecq Las Copas, S.A., since 2016, and of the Whyte & McKay Group, since 2014, Mexican and Scottish sections of Grupo Emperador’s beverage division.

In addition to his position as Joint Managing Director of Emperador Properties, since 2021 he has been a director of Caleido Gestión S.L., the management company of the Torre Caleido project.
