Jorge Domecq Bohórquez

From the beginning of his professional career until joining the Emperador Group, Mr Domecq has held positions of responsibility in the financial, real estate, commercial, food and agriculture, oenology and distillate fields, amongst others.

Mr Domecq began his professional career with American Appraisal España, S.A., where, between 1999 and 2002, he carried out consultancy work at Corporate Finance, M&A and Business Appraisals.

After this, until 2006, as part of his work as director and investor in Las Almenas de Jerez, S.L., he advised and invested in the creation of a restaurant in the historic centre of Jerez de la Frontera. He thus forged the experience to go on to the founding and management of La Forestal Jerez, S.L., a wood industry company that focuses on supply to real estate companies, and in which he held the position of Managing Director until 2009. Later, and before joining the Emperador Group in 2013, he focused his activity on the real estate and agricultural consulting sector as self-employed person.

After joining the Emperador Group, Mr Domecq initially held the position of Managing Director in Emperador Distillers, a world leader in preparing and selling brandy and wine. There he focussed his activity on completing various M&A processes and integration, and developing the group in European markets.

Mr Domecq is currently Managing Director of the Emperador Spain Group, a position he has held since 2013. As such, he is responsible for the Group’s image and strategy at corporate level. Since 2015, he has also been CEO of Emperador Properties, in which he is responsible for defining the Company’s strategy and Business Plan, budgets or investment opportunities. In addition, since 2014 he has been a board member of Whyte & Mackay, a world leader in whisky production.

Mr Domecq holds a BA in Economics and Business Studies from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and has Technical Architecture Studies from Universidad Politécnica. He also holds a degree in real estate company executive management programme and an MBA, both, from IE Business School.
